GRAPHIC DESIGNER

POSITION: Graphic Designer
EXPERIENCE: 3 years minimum
DEDICATION: Fulltime

We’re looking for a graphic designer talent who has the ambition to participate in the rebranding of a 30 year old architecture office and wants to grow into the role as Art Director. You will create and protect all visual aspects and storytelling of the KCAP Brand for years to come, playing a crucial part in our new quest and strong new appointed PR team. This is also your unique change as graphic designer to learn from and in one of Europe’s best graphic design studios, which designs our new corporate identity with you.

YOUR ROLE
- Develop our new corporate identity, together with one of Europe’s most well-respected graphic design studios
- Develop strategies how to implement and nurture KCAP’s new implemented corporate identity, together with the Director Communications
- Strongly involved in the development and daily upkeep of our new to be created website
- Team up with our Social Media Manager to create strategies and content
- Creating concepts for branded environments, buildings, interior, etc. for our ongoing design projects
- In lead of photography and video; developing and nurturing a new style, together with the Director Communications and graphic design studio
- Responsible of future projects photography and video; control planning, creative briefings, coordination of crews and controlling budgets
- Providing graphic guidance and support on topics like KCAP’s events, lectures, exhibitions, presentations, etc.
- Working closely with our design teams in order to design their presentations, booklets and curate their imagery where needed

YOUR QUALITIES
- Committed to implement our new corporate identity, designed by the external graphic design studio
- Having excellent skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Indesign and Illustrator are a must)
- Having experience with 2 and 3D software are important in order to adjust CAD drawings
- Experience in print and digital design production, plus the transformation from print to digital design
- Conceptually strong and very skilled in visual storytelling
- Minimum of 3 years working experience within a creative studio
- Completed a Master and/or Bachelor in Graphic Design and/or related studies
- Having excellent planning, organizational skills and always focused on people management
- Experience working with clients and external advisors
- Familiar with architecture is a great asset, but not necessary
- Comfortable working in a dynamic with tight deadlines and high demands
- Self-confident, independent, flexible, open-minded, internationally oriented and a true problem solver
- Fluent in English, speaking Dutch or other additional languages is very welcome

MANAGER VISUALISATIONS

Having the ambition to shape your own visualisations team within an international architectural office? Here’s your chance to start doing this. At KCAP we’re looking for a manager who will build and lead the team of visualisers. Together with the Director Communications, our Public Relations team, an external well-respected graphic design studio and internal graphic designer, we’re currently working on a new corporate identity for KCAP. The Visualisations team will play a crucial part in this new quest and your role as manager will play a vital role, representing KCAP’s identity for many years to come.
 
 
YOUR ROLE
- Together with the Director Communications and Senior Visualiser you will give shape to a new VIZ Team, having the freedom to develop strategies and to improve the daily business of the VIZ team
- Next to your role as senior visualizer, you will be leading your team by strongly monitoring planning, workflow and the aesthetical quality of the work
- The health of our KCAP team is very important to us, as manager you will guide your team the best way possible, together with the Director Communications and the Manager Operations
- We’re currently working on 25+ international projects worldwide. Together with three VIZ team members you will therefore work on a huge variety of scales, countries and styles of aesthetics.
- Together with the Director Communications you will develop new innovative workflows which help the day-to-day business between the VIZ team, clients and 100+ colleagues, spread over offices in Rotterdam, Zurich and Shanghai, Seoul and Singapore
- Work close with the Directors Communications and Senior Graphic Designer to improve and preserve KCAP’s Branding
- Having close relations with Partners, associates and projects leaders on a day-to-day bases
- Create and present strategies for innovative steps to increase KCAP’s visual style and your teams mental quality
- In particular, work intensively on large scale urban design projects as they are one of our main focuses for internal VIZ production
- Together with your team you will be very much stimulated to improve your knowledge by participating workshops, attend lectures, visiting events, etc., but also sharing your knowledge with the design teams to increase awareness for this beautiful and important craftmanship
 
 
YOUR QUALITIES

- Proven experience in a Manager Visualisations position
- Wide-ranging skills and knowledge of visual design software / 3D modelling, imaging and rendering software
- Strong skills in 3dsMax, Forest Pack, Rail clone, Vectorworks, Rhino, Unreal engine, Corona Renderer and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of BIM and Blender are great assets
- Have exceptional spatial insight in both building volumes and open spaces and know how these can be visualized in the best possible way
- Extensive knowledge and skills in post-production software for still images, video and real-time
- Proven experience in different scales and disciplines; architecture, urban design and landscape design
- Rendering skills with an eye for lighting, composition and material
- Being a leader type with a transparent management style
- Having excellent planning, organizational skills and focused on people management
- Experience working with clients and external advisors
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and artistic environment with tight deadlines and high demands
- Fluent in English. Dutch or other additional languages are a great asset

Having the ambition to be part of a strong and ambitious visualisations team within an international architectural office? Here’s your chance to start doing this. At KCAP we’re looking for two junior visualisers. Together with two Senior Visualisers, the Director Communications, our Public Relations team, an external well-respected graphic design studio and internal graphic designer, you will be working on a new corporate identity for KCAP. The Visualisations team will play a crucial part when it comes to representing KCAP’s identity for many years to come.
 
YOUR ROLE
- Together with the Director Communications, Senior Manager Visualisations, Senior Visualiser and another Junior Visualiser you will give shape to a new VIZ Team
- You will help building this team and the creative quality of KCAP to higher levels
- We’re currently working on 25+ international projects worldwide. Together with three VIZ team members you will therefore work on a huge variety of scales, countries and styles of aesthetics
- You will have close relations with the Public Relations team, Business Development team, KCAP’s design teams and the Director Communications in order to collect information as quickly as possible and make the best imagery possible, without losing too much time.

Having the ambition to be part of a dedicated team of professionals with 30+ years of experience within an international architectural office? Here’s your chance to start doing this. At KCAP we’re looking for talented and creative interns for our office in Rotterdam! 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INTERNS WHO:
- Study at the TU, preferably masters of architecture / urban design and planning, or preferably at the end of your bachelor study. 
- Are willing to work in a multidisciplinary team on complex projects that cover a wide range of scales. 
- Are a design talent and/or have knowledge in urban planning. 
- Are fluent in English, preferably speak Dutch and a third language. 
- Have strong AutoCAD, Vectorworks, 3D Studio and Adobe Suite skills. 
- Are available for a period of 6 months. 
- Are in the possession of a valid working permit for the Netherlands
