Care Elderly housing Neighbourhood

Hybrid building with apartments, care and elderly housing, and public services

The “Oasis Oerlikon” is a hybrid building block in a harsh urban context. Stacked above the double-storey public ground floor are a compact volume for living and care and a communally used, green roof terrace. The constructive logic follows this programmatic division. The two-storey entrance area and the basement with high demands for flexibility are cast in concrete, while the living spaces with a high degree of repetition are built in timber.
