Agro Campus Saclay [FR]

Campus Agro merges on the same site, in Paris-Saclay, four existing entities of Agroparistech and INRA into a teaching and research centre for life sciences. More than a building, the strength of the proposal is to offer an urban complex articulated around a place of accessible and convivial life, and open to the city a central park of one hectare. To the south are the classrooms, the student living rooms and the documentation center in two volumes connected by a bridge. The architecture of the premises offers students and teachers an efficient, flexible and pleasant working tool.

In the north, the administration, a training school and a conference center are located in two volumes connected by a covered passage. The space device allows the meeting and a great proximity between the administrative personnel, the students and the researchers who share the same comfort and framework of work and study. The different buildings share the same palette of materials, to be deployed each in its own way, which gives the Campus several scales and a depth of reading, as well as a wealth of ambiances necessary for its
large scale.
