First concrete ceremony for ZIL-South, a new residential area in Moscow (Russia) on the site of a former industrial zone

ZIL-South is taking shape as we recently assisted the concrete ceremony of Shagal, the first residential quarter of Moscow’s largest brownfield area. KCAP is the master planner of Zil-South, an urban redevelopment project of more than 100 hectares, transforming the former ZIL car factory into a new residential area on the Moskva River. Our extensive landscape strategy with 40ha of parks, boulevards and squares creates a variety of living quarters while the mobility scheme prioritises a healthy lifestyle and is based on the principle of a walkable city, in which the principal commercial, business and public amenities are within 15 minutes’ walk of any point.

You can check the ceremony video made by Etalon Group on YouTube.

ZIL-South is the result of the multidisciplinary cooperation of Etalon Group, KCAP, Buromoscow and Citymakers.
