Bye bye Bajes: redevelopment plan 'Luchtplaats' for Bijlmer penitentiary exhibited

Starting today, the redevelopment plan that KCAP has developed together with Wonam, ZUS, Manuelle Gautrand Architects and Arup is exhibited for the public.

‘Luchtplaats’ is one of the five submitted plans to develop the area of the Bijlmer penitentiary into a new, sustainable, car-free mixed-use district. Despite the fact that there can only be one winner, the Architectuur Centrum Amsterdam has organised an exhibition to show all submitted plans to the public.

The exhibition will be held in the transport corridor of the former prison kitchen. Here visitors can experience the different plans in words and images and view publications and maquettes.

The exhibition can be visited till 29 October (free entrance). Visit the Arcam website for more information.
