The 2014 edition of the Zee Event in Scheveningen / The Hague last week was again a great succes. Irma van Oort gave a tour through Noordelijk Havenhoofd area for which KCAP has designed the urban plan and is responsible for a new hotel and the renovation and expansion of the monumental United Fish Auction (UFA) buildings.

Scheveningen is regaining popularity. The Dutch daily Telegraaf states today 5 reasons to visit the biggest sea resort of Nort-West Europe and gives 5 perspectives for 2020. The 2014 edition of the Zee Event in Scheveningen / The Hague last week was again a great succes. Irma van Oort gave a tour through Noordelijk Havenhoofd area for which KCAP has designed the urban plan and is responsible for a new hotel and the renovation and expansion of the monumental United Fish Auction (UFA) buildings.
Last week, developer VolkerWessels Vastgoed and Inntel Hotels have signed the realisaton agreement for the 3*** plus hotel on Noordelijk Havenhoofd Scheveningen. The hotel with view to the sea and 200 bedrooms is a design by KCAP and belongs to KCAP's urban vision for the Northern pier in Scheveningen.After the cooperation agreement between the two parties and the municipality of The Hague has been signed in November 2013, this realisation contract is a major step forward in the development of Noordelijk Havenhoofd Scheveningen. Start construction of the hotel is expected for late 2014. It will be constructed by Boele & van Eesteren, technical installations are in the hands of HOMIJ Technische Installaties, both daughter companies of Volker Wessels. [[file:realisatie1325]]
The municipality of The Hague, entrepreneurs of the ‘viscluster’ of Noordelijk Havenhoofd (Northern Pier) and developer VolkerWessels Vastgoed have confirmed their cooperation for the redevelopment of Noordelijk Havenhoofd in a cooperation contract. In May 2013 the business plan and urban vision by KCAP were handed over to alderman Norder of The Hague.
