Monday, September 30th is the opening of P+R De Uithof is Utrecht. The parking garage is located in the East of the city and in close proximity to the highway crossing of A27 and A28 and is the largest within the province of Utrecht. It was realized in commission of the municipality of Utrecht, the University of Utrecht, the Hogeschool Utrecht and the UMC (University Medical Centre). This new transferium offers 2000 parking spaces on nine storeys and on ground floor a central space with a bus a tram station, a bike shelter and commercial spaces. 1500 parking spaces are for people working at De Uithof campus, 500 serve travelers who commute with public transport to the centre of Utrecht. The architectural concept was developed by KCAP Architects&Planners together with studiosk/Movares. The building will be taken into use up from October 1st.

Take a look at the current status of new Park & Ride facilities on Utrecht's campus De Uithof. The building is estimated to be completed in September 2013.

After P+R De Uithof was already awarded with the 'Tekla Benelux BIM Award 2012' in the category 'concrete structures', the 3d-model is now in the race for the 'Tekla GLOBAL BIM Award 2012'. The concrete structures have been modeled with Tekla by Hurks delphi engineering, KCAP/Studio SK are the architects of the project. Next to the first prize winner chosen by the jury, there will also be an audience award for one of the projects. Voting is open until Novmeber 30th.For the audience award vote here!

P+R De Uithof's structure has reached the second floor. Start construction was in late August 2011. Delivery is estimated for the summer of 2013.
