Today, the great picture by Ossip van Duivenbode of KCAP's De Monarch I is the picture of the day on the Archipendium architecture calendar.
This year again a project of KCAP has been included in the Archipendium calendar which shows 365 international examples of recent architecture. De Monarch I is included on January 31st. Click here for more information and a video browsing through the 2014 edition.
The noninations of the Gulden Feniks Award 2013 have been announced. The jury has nominated a total of 10 projects. De Monarch I is one of the nominated projects in the category 'renovation'.The Gulden Feniks Award is an annual prize organised by the Dutch National Renovation Platform (NRP) in three categories: Renovation, Transformation and regional transformation.The winner will be announced on June 4 at real estate fair Provada.Click here for the official website of the Gulden Feniks.

De Monarch I is one of 42 projects in the John-Jacob-Astor Competition. The John-Jacob-Astor Competition awards the most extraordinary and fascinating contemporary commercial real estate projects completed between 2007-2012, including new and converted commercial real estate developments or mixed use real estate. The competition is held within the framework of the annual German real estate fair Expo Real in Munich, 8-10 October 2012. Vote here!
The current issue of the Dutch monthly magazine De Architect publishes an article about the technical aspects of KCAP's De Monarch I office building in The Hague.
The Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) awarded during the Green Forum at Provada on wednesday June 6th the developer Provast with a four star (Excellent) BREEAM-NL Nieuwbouw certificate for the De Monarch I office buiding, designed by KCAP. Click here for more information.

The CAK administration office in The Hague receives the extra prize for 'Roofs and Facades' of the Benelux Aluminium Award 2011. This extra prize is intended for entries with a striking performance or application in the field of ' Facades and Roofs'.The European Aluminium Award is a biennial award for sustainable renovation projects.According to the jury report the project 'shows that alumium facade elements are a good choice for large renovation projects where sustainability, a short delivery time, cost efficiency and aesthetics should go together.In addition, the jury praises the smart solutions in the curtain wall profile which integrate climatic facilities and technical installations without disturbing the architectural image.'
