Kees Christiaanse keynote speaker at Urban Futures 2050

The 21 Century is called the "century of cities". By the middle of this century it is expected that 80 percent of the to nine billion people growing world population will live in urban regions. At the same time the future of these cities seems more uncertain than ever.
On Thursday and Friday May 26 and 27, Bauhaus Dessau and the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation invite for an international conference in Berlin. "Urban Futures 2050" brings together architects, urban planners, politicians and scientists to "think about the future of cities and inspire practical solutions," say the organizers.
Kees Christiaanse will participate in the conference as one of the keynote speakers.
