Etelapuisto Park Tampere [FI]

Eteläpuisto Park is a high-quality urban residential area and part of the Tampere city center development program.  It provides programs suitable for the city structure and for the landscape, and at the same time, recreational use of the shores are enabled while providing for a natural connection to Hämeenpuisto Esplanade.

‘Sunny Side of the City’ is a concept that brings the city to the lake and the lake to the city. New living is integrated into the park which offers a lake shore for everyone. The lake side in connection with the city acts as a catalyst for the development of the whole city and the wider region. All together this development achieves the goals of the Tampere City Strategy 2020 providing a coherent and compact city structure. The lake shore starts in the buzzing city centre. With a big variety of outdoor attractions and facilities the development then leads to a silent and calm natural monument of the Pyynikki Park. The excellent public transport pedestrian and bicycle network and the several outdoor and leisure areas creates a high standard living environment.

All together ‘Sunny Side of the City’ supports Tampere in being an attractive international business and living environment famous for its high standard sustainable developments based on their natural asset of Water.
