De Heelmeesters Amsterdam [NL]

The residential and office building ‘De Heelmeesters’ is part of the Eenhoorn area, situated between Gooiseweg and Wibautstraat, in the East of Amsterdam. The project includes 179 rental apartments and 2.600 m2 office space. With the mix of functions the project gives a quality impulse to the development of the area as a high quality neighborhood in Amsterdam.
The concept consists of two U-shaped blocks with inner courtyard. Together they form an urban ensemble with magnificent views towards the water. Beneath both blocks two semi-underground parking for approximately 180 parking spaces are located.
The basis is formed by four levels of apartments rising in height to a maximum of seven floors with penthouses on the top two layers. Four head buildings with cantilevering round-shaped panorama balconies from the second floor upwards, are looking out over the water. The entrances of the residential and commercial spaces are accentuated in the facades. The apartments overlook towards the block’s inside the green courtyard with voids which allow visual connection to the garage.
